Following the success of the lower school rock concert on 9 June, our music team here at the 1509 are looking ahead to the next major event in the RGS music calendar.
On Wednesday 28 June, at the Boileroom (Guildford’s leading, award-winning music venue), a number of RGS bands will be performing some brand new sets. With bands coming from a range of year groups (the Upper Sixth, Lower Sixth and the Fourth form) and an even more varied list of songs on offer, this is an event not to be missed. Fans can look forward to the best of The Arctic Monkeys, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age and many, many more.
Most of the bands playing at the Boileroom are making a return after the RGS-based rock gig Lockefest, which took place in November of last year. But with new sets lined up and an exciting new venue to perform at, this concert looks to be something very different.
