From rags to riches, the story of Wrexham Football Club is one of the most inspiring sports stories you will ever hear. Wrexham started as a National League team that no one had heard of. They were struggling and were on the road to rock bottom in the National League. They ended up 19th out of 24 teams. This was not a shock, as they were not known as a very good side. Then, in September 2020, something happened that shocked the world. World-famous actor Ryan Reynolds bought their club, and his millions revolutionised the team. He donated a fair amount of money to the team, and all of a sudden, they were far too good for the National League. In 2021, they went up to League Two after clearing Notts County, the second-place team, by four points. The team stayed there for two years until the breakout from League Two happened, and after an outstanding 2023/24 season, they were up to League One, the third-best league out of the five leagues.

Their star player Paul Mullin has signed a contract until 2027, so he is still very valuable. This season has only just started, but Wrexham have rocketed to the top of the table already. However, the thing they are probably most well-known for is their own TV documentary ‘Welcome to Wrexham’. It was a hit with the public and is recommended for any age. You can watch it on Disney+ for every episode. Disney is a popular way of watching, so it is a great platform to partner with. Going back to the team, if Wrexham Football Club can win League One, then they will be in the Championship, with an extremely high chance of getting into the Premier League itself. Considering they win their league this season, there are three available spots for the best league in the world. But currently, that is only a hope. If they get into the Championship, I think most Premier League club supporters will be rooting for them! Come on Wrexham!!
