5. Dark chocolate digestives
These are great value for money, only costing £1.25 per pack. Customers have said that they have a “nice texture and just enough chocolate”, as well as a “great flavour”. An RGS student has called them “the perfect snack to get you through a long day”, which I think is a very fitting description for such a scrumptious treat.
4. Mini chocolate donuts
The mini chocolate donuts are often overlooked by RGS pupils who rush to grab other, easier to reach treats, but I think they are one of the best snacks on offer. At only £1 a bag, they are great to carry you through the day, without breaking the bank. The Sainsbury’s customers kind enough to share their views online have said that they are “soft, chocolatey, and perfectly bite-sized,
these mini doughnuts are a great value snack. The coating is rich without being too sweet. Ideal with a cup of tea or for sharing—if you can resist eating them all yourself!”. A fellow RGS student who has become quite the expert in Sainsbury’s snacks calls them “a delight for the taste buds”.
3. Fig rolls
The fig rolls are something that the RGS community have mixed opinions about, some calling them “rubbish” while others like Isaac Boden calling them “rich and deliciously cheap”. Coming in at 49p a pack, they are the cheapest snack on this list. Seasoned Sainsbury’s customers say that “the biscuit is just right, slightly soft and a little chewy. Adds nicely to the filling. A great combination”, and that “they are so cheap, so delicious”. Overall, these are amazing value and are great for sharing with hungry friends.
2. Jam doughnuts
The Sainsbury’s Jam doughnuts are one of the favourites among the RGS community, and for good reason. At £1.35 per pack of 5, they are a great deal, perfect to be shared between friends and to give a nice energy boost to get you through the day. Some people have called them “a great snack that I regularly buy”, while some Sainsbury’s customers have said that they are “Lovely soft doughnuts, lots of filling, freshly cooked”. Overall, these have landed themselves the number two position, close behind this list’s winner.
1. White chocolate cookies
At the number one position we have the white chocolate cookies. These are a bestseller on the bakery aisle, often already out of stock only a few minutes into break time. These cookies come in at £1.50 a pack, freshly baked and incredibly reliable. Many students at RGS have described them as “great”, “my go-to snack”, and “the best thing you can buy”. The wider Sainsbury’s community have said that “They are delicious, really soft and chewy”, and called them a “Soft, gooey cookie. Sublime, just how they should be”. Overall these are definitely the top snack to get, as long as you get there before the rest of the students, who will devour them before you even catch sight of the bakery aisle.
