A school newspaper with a student voice
RGS 1509 publishes reporting, reviews, interviews, debate and commentary from across the Royal Grammar School Guildford community. It is written for students first, shaped by student interests, and open to the wider school audience that follows life at RGS Guildford.
What The 1509 covers
The paper follows school life, news and politics, sport, opinion, culture and technology. Some articles naturally cross categories; the aim is to keep each piece readable as part of one lively student newspaper rather than a set of disconnected pages.
Why it exists
The 1509 gives pupils a place to write publicly, edit carefully, argue clearly and record the conversations that matter around school. It is student-read, student-led, and tied to the daily rhythm of RGSG.
